EliteFastpitch.TV is designed for players to train with elite-level instruction, from anywhere in the world. The purpose of this site is to give everyone who visits the site the same resources and instruction as you would receive if you were in the cage with any of our instructors. The same movement screen, the same drills, the same mental training, and the same programming that the hitters at Folden Fastpitch receive from their world-class instructors, spearheaded by me, Rachel Folden, Minor League Hitting Coach and Owner of Folden Fastpitch.
I had an incredibly successful playing career at Marshall University and in the professional ranks in the NPF with the Chicago Bandits and Carolina Diamonds. While playing, I was always fueled by a deep seeded curiosity as to "why" I was successful, and was incredibly driven to get better. I have always had a passion to coach, even while I was a player, to help players reach their ceiling and have success playing the game they, and I, loved. I began giving lessons, and like most coaches, I simply regurgitated the things taught to me and that worked for me, while watching players fail to reach their potential. Some got better, sure, but there always seemed to be players that I couldn't get through to, that the cues I used didn't seem to work for. I went on to college coaching, and my curiosity continued. Same story, some got better, some didn't. Something had to change.
I got out of college coaching and started to get serious about hitting instruction. I started to use more technology and it transformed my coaching experience tremendously. What began as video analysis, a pocket radar gun, and spreadsheets is now a full-fledged biomechanical lab that can analyze thousands of data points in one swing of a bat. This technology has helped me train hitters more objectively and individually, because I realized that no two players are the same. The one piece that was missing that I simply cannot live without is the movement screen that we feature here on this site. The unique characteristics of each player's body and how it moves means that each hitter should have a unique way of swinging the bat. The same cues and drills that work for one might not work for another, and we now have a system to bring to the masses to find your individual swing patterns. This means we can train more efficiently, and not waste as much time doing pointless drills that aren't tailored for you. We can get it right, and we can do it much much quicker.
This site is a culmination of over a decade of work in the coaching field, as well as a lifetime of experience being a fan and player of the games of baseball and softball.

Our daughter Mackenzie started working with Rachel and Elite Fastpitch 5 years ago and it changed her life. She had trained with multiple hitting coaches and programs prior to meeting Rachel and was starting to believe that she may have reached the end of her softball career.
